Times: 7:00 am - 6:00 pm

Ages: 5-12 years

Where: YMCA Youth Activity Center 400 S. Maple St. in Carthage

Fair Acres Family Member Fee: $20 per day

Non-Member Fee: $25 per day

Please Note: Camp registrations must be completed at the front desk of the main Carthage YMCA building by Thursday March 13. Any late registrations are at the discrestion of the childcare coordinator and will be charged a $5 registration late fee.

*Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided.

At Y day camp, kids can develop skills, self-confidence, new friendships, and a sense of belonging ­- all while having tons of fun. From games and sports to arts and crafts to outdoor adventures to science and technology, a Y day camp experience offers kids the chance to learn new things and enjoy new adventures.

Camp Hours:
Day Camp will start June 26th and run Monday-Friday till August 15th excluding July 4th. You may drop your child off at the Youth Activity Center as early as 7:00 a.m. & pick them up by 6:00 p.m.

To register, we ask that you complete the registration packet and turn it in to the YMCA with a current copy of your child's immunization record before your child attends camp. You can print one out or pick one up at our Welcome Desk at 2600 S. Grand in Carthage.

Missouri DSS:
The Fair Acres Family YMCA Day Camp is an approved program for eligible families through the Missouri Department of Social Services.

Kidz-In-Motion

Kidz-In-Motion (KIM) offers a wide variety of fun, educational activities which are guaranteed to keep your school-age child entertained and learning!

KIM is an after-school program for kids in K-5th grade attending CIC, Steadley, Mark Twain, Columbian, St. Ann's or Fairview Elementary Schools., operated in cooperation with Carthage R-9 School District. Membership in the YMCA is not required. 

KIM is a state-licensed childcare program designed to provide a safe, caring, and fun place for your child after school each day. Children will choose from a variety of activities including games, crafts, help with homework, and more!  Activities will vary somewhat due to the needs of students. However, overall programming will be offering a safe, enriching, and exciting place for children in the after-school hours. Dinner is provided each day. 

Kidz-in-Motion runs each day school is in session, from school dismissal time until 6:00 p.m.  The program is also available, at no extra charge, on days school dismisses early, but it will not run on days there is no school in session. 

All Kidz-in-Motion staff are required to complete a criminal record check and a child abuse/neglect screening through the Missouri Family Care Safety Registry. CPR/First Aid training and continuing education credits are required for all staff members.  KIM maintains a 15-1 child-staff ratio.

Steadley Elementary is where we watch the kids and where you will pick them up.

Dates & Times:

Our program follows the Carthge R-9 school district from the begining of the school year till the end of summer school. We provide care on early dismisal days, but not on no school/school closed days. Pickup by 6:00 pm

New Registration Fee: $15

Member:
Part-time (1-2 days) $25
Full-time (3-5 days) $35

Non-member:
Part-time (1-2 days) $30
Full-time (3-5 days) $40

How to Enroll:

Please pick up the Parent Handbook & Child Enrollment Form and fill it out completely. We ask you to return the forms, including a current copy of your child's immunization record, to the Fair Acres Family YMCA at 2600 S. Grand Ave. in Carthage. Please DO NOT DROP THE FORMS OFF AT YOUR CHILD'S SCHOOL.

Policies

Policies are outlined in the Parent Handbook, which you can pick up at the front desk of the YMCA.

PLEASE NOTE: Parents must give the school permission to release their children to KIM. The YMCA is not authorized to take a child from school into KIM without prior parental permission. Parents are responsible for providing the YMCA with a current copy of their child's immunization record.

Find it hard to exercise with your kids at your feet? With Child Watch, the Y keeps an eye on your little ones—ages six weeks to eight years of age—while you focus on you. Free for Fair Acres Family YMCA members.

Mornings: Mon - Fri 7:30 AM - 11:30 AM

Evenings: Mon - Thurs 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM

• Child Watch Child Care is free to Fair Acres Family YMCA members.
• Non-members and members of other YMCAs pay $3 per child per hour.
• 2 hour Max time limit per day- Parent must remain in building.
• Staff/Child Ratio is 1 to 10.
• No snacks, diapers, wipes etc. will be provided by the YMCA.
• No Toys brought from home, no gum or candy, and no other items of this nature brought in.
• It is at the staff’s discretion to get the parent if the child is causing problems or crying excessively and keeping the staff from doing their job in watching all the children.
• Infants 6 weeks - 8 years of age.
